My life changed last July (2012) when my wife Lisa was diagnosed with Cancer after a fairly harrowing 8 months she was given the all clear and is now in remission. That however woke me up and I decided I needed a better work / life balance. I needed to work but with more flexibility and to be able to spend more time with my wife and family.
I have worked in Direct Marketing since 1989 and over the years I have worked with some top marketers, copy writers and data professionals. I myself have been at the top of my game in the UK in terms of lead generation.
I thought that moving into more online marketing would give me more of the work / life balance that I needed, and hopefully more income. As I had worked in direct marketing since 1989 I thought of myself as a fairly advanced marketer and that I already knew a fair amount about online marketing…
That is until I met Trent Jessee and he started to coach me. Wow I don’t think I have been on such a steep learning curve and education kick since 1989 when I first got involved in direct marketing. Each session with Trent yielded more and more amazing insight, tips, ideas and just a wealth of knowledge.
What’s more they were real practical steps and teaching. Each session we actually moved a part of my business and website forward, putting into practice what Trent was teaching me. As an example I thought I knew what impact Copy changes could have, but a couple of changes that Trent suggested to me gave a doubling on conversion on a test campaign that I ran. I had never seen such profound impact in all of my years in direct marketing.
As well as great advice on general online Marketing Trent gave me so much help and advice on setting up my wordpress sites, some of the tools, plugins and short cuts literaly saved me months of work, thousands of pounds in development costs and brought my site to life in days instead of weeks and months.
However all that said and done what is so nice is that Trent is so down to earth and real, he listens very well and is very understated. He takes things as a pace that you can work at and knows when to speed up and when to slow down. You can tell that Trent has been there and done it, he has practiced what he teaches and that is why he knows it so well.
I have always enjoyed learning and internet marketing has fascinated me but working with Trent has taken my level of knowledge, excitement and results to a new level.
I now have 5 different websites running in areas as diverse as Damp Proofing, through to Antiques, Hair Loss and Investment Products. All of which are yielding great returns. My latest website www.kestonantiques.co.uk just goes to prove how global the web is. Whilst being based in the UK we have had buyers from France and Canada and visitors to the site making enquiries from India, China, USA, Finland, Germany and Belguim as well as the UK and we have not even opened this site up to the affiliate market yet.
If I learn one new thing a day I have always been happy, when working with Trent I lost count of the number of new things I learned in each session. I personally would like to thank Trent, he has taken my learning, enthusiasm, excitement and most of all earning levels and potential to a completely new level. Trent Thank You
